Children's Aid Society of Toronto protects children and youth from emotional, sexual and physical harm by offering a broad spectrum of programs, including crisis intervention and counselling. Phone (416) 924-4646. Native Child and Family Services of Toronto offers support to aboriginal youth through one-on-one counseling and anger management programs. Phone (416) 969-8510. Lesbian Gay Bi Youth Line offers peer support and referral services for queer and questioning youth. Phone 1-800-268-9688 or (416) 962-9688. The Assaulted Women's Help Line offers a range of services for abused women, including crisis counseling and referrals for shelters. Phone (416) 863-0511. St. Stephen's Community House, in partnership with Youthlink, offers an anger management course for young people. In December, they will introduce a workshop on gangs. Phone (416) 920-8980. Violence Overcome in Creative Ensemble (V.O.I.C.E.) helps young people deal with violence in their lives through creative expression in arts and media. Phone (416) 656-4949. Youth Assisting Youth matches youth volunteers aged 16-24 (29 for males) in one-to-one peer mentoring relationships with children experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and/or cultural adjustment problems.
